This 6×36″ Emergency Location Marker (ELM) sticker is made from high quality, High Intensity Prismatic (HIP) grade reflective laminate which can be applied to vertical style buoys often found on inland waterways. The covering of the adhesive backing comes scored so that it can be peeled off and the sticker applied easily.
HIP laminate provides high performance reflectivity that is well suited for providing a way for boaters to easily report the location of an incident in an environment devoid of landmarks. U.S. National Grid (USNG) coordinates as shown on the ELM will match against the GPS readout for the buoy’s location. This information when called into a 911 center will quickly provide responders with information about the location of a call for assistance that will be accurate to within 33′ in the call center’s area of responsibility.
This ELM sticker is durable in all weather conditions, to include salt water marine, and dependent on manufacturer, comes with either a seven (7) or ten (10) year warranty against defects.
The 6″x36″ ELM sticker was specifically requested by customers who wanted an ELM that could be used on buoy marked waterways where accidents tend to happen.

- If your order will be for more than ten (10) ELMs, use the “Add to Quote” feature that is available for each product in the store, or if you need assistance, contact us for a quote at info@usngstore.org. Please note, USNG Store will only process orders for 10 ELMs or less under special circumstances.
- If the quote is acceptable, USNG Store will work directly with you to finalize the order using the ELM locations you provide using the ELM production input spreadsheet, and to arrange payment.
